Everything about Steve Ott totally explained

Steve Ott born August 19, 1982 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, is a professional hockey player for the Dallas Stars of the NHL. Ott was a first round draft pick of the Stars 25th overall at the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He played junior hockey for the OHL's Windsor Spitfires and had a brief spell with the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL before joining the main Stars roster.
Ott represented Canada at the 2001 World Junior Hockey Championship, helping the team win the bronze medal. During the 2004–05 NHL lockout, Ott played for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL where he set a team record for penalty minutes in a season, earning 279.
Ott was suspended by the NHL for three games due to an illegal hit on Jordan Leopold of the Colorado Avalanche during a game on March 9, 2008. For the hit, which left Leopold injured, Ott took both his feet off the ice and his elbow may also have made contact with Leopold's head.
Before beginning his professional hockey career, Ott raced outboard hydroplanes and runabouts in the American Power Boat Association (APBA). His father is a past and current National Champion and still continues to race. He pit crews for his father during his off-season in the summer.
